Policy Dialogue: Innovative Immunization Solutions to Achieve Universal Health Coverage & Improve Health System Resilience
On 6 March 2025, Chile and the United States co-hosted the second APEC policy dialogue on “Innovative Immunization Solutions to Achieve Universal Health Coverage & Improve Health System Resilience.” The dialogue is the last of two hybrid meetings to be held as part of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Health Working Group (HWG) project HWG_06_2024S.
Prophylactic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) can provide protection against infectious diseases, such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in infants but are not yet widely utilized. This session aimed to address this gap by exploring how mAbs have been implemented as innovative immunization solutions in Australia, Chile, the United States, Germany, and Spain to improve health system resilience and impact.
